Miele | 1961

In July 1899, in the small town of Herzebrock in Germany, Carl Miele and Reinhard Zinkann founded a factory making milk separators: Miele.
Washing machines soon followed, and the company even built cars, bicycles and vacuum cleaners. But it was washing machines that made the brand’s name.
This 1961 ad, published in the German magazine Constanze, presented Miele’s new washing machine. The company is still owned by the founding families today.
