Canned meat: ever tried it? Swift was founded in the United States in 1855 by Gustavus F. Swift and began operating in Brazil in 1917. In 2007 it was bought by Brazil’s Friboi, now JBS.

Today Swift is one of the world’s leading beef brands, with the United States, Australia, Brazil and Argentina among its main markets.

This ad was broadcast on Brazilian radio in the 1960s.
