Estrela, founded in São Paulo in 1937, is still a reference in Brazil’s toy industry. Anyone who grew up in Brazil knows what a toy with this brand meant.

This ad ran in the women’s magazine Claudia in July 1966, with a headline aimed straight at mothers: FÉRIAS (holidays). The illustration is credited to Ziraldo, the cartoonist who later created the children’s classic O Menino Maluquinho.
