Vintage ad for Kodak, 1968

Kodak Instamatic 104. Not long ago, taking a camera on holiday or to record important moments was as normal as carrying a smartphone today.

This 1968 Spanish ad shows the Instamatic 104, which used a cartridge that kept the film from being exposed to light, and the flashcube, which allowed four flash photos.

Do you remember those days?

Text in the ad

Without a doubt, the world’s most popular camera…
…is the Kodak Instamatic 104. You drop in the cartridge and start taking pictures. No threading film onto a spool. No calculations. No mistakes.
And flash pictures are no problem either. Pop on a flashcube and you’re ready to take four shots without touching a single bulb. Clearly, this is what people were looking for. Because now the Instamatic 104 is the most popular camera in the world. As for price, it costs much less than you’d think. Ask your Kodak dealer… wherever you see this sign.
