Palmolive | 1950

Palm and olive: the two oils the B. J. Johnson Soap Company of Milwaukee used as the base for this soap in 1898, and the origin of a name that has been part of millions of people’s lives for generations.
The promise here is scientific: “skin specialists prove” the soap makes skin lovelier in 14 days. A claim that would hardly pass today’s advertising rules.
The ad ran in 1950 in O Cruzeiro, Brazil’s leading illustrated magazine at the time.
