Nescafé | 1959

Brazilian readers might think of Pinduca, king of carimbó, or the band Calypso. But it is neither, and certainly not in Germany.
This ad features a Nescafé promotion with Max Woiski, a singer from Suriname who began his career in Amsterdam in the 1930s.
Readers who guessed the last line of the “Calypso 59” chorus received the record free.
