Vintage ad for Knorr, 1956

Knorr soup. Founded by Carl Heinrich Knorr in Germany in 1838, Knorr came into our lives to stay. With 180 years of history, it revolutionised the food industry.

In 1873, after years of research, Knorr launched its dehydrated vegetable soup in Europe.

Stock cubes followed in 1912, and since then new products and instant soups have never stopped coming.

Unilever bought the company in 2000, and it remains a leader in its field.

This ad appeared in the German magazine Revue in 1956.

Text in the ad

Translation:
What’s better – a lovely gravy or a juicy roast? You no longer have to ask yourself that tiresome question, because now you can have both! There’s no need to “force” the best part out of the meat – the juice! – when you use our “Delicatessen Roast Gravy”.
Knorr Delicatessen Roast Gravy – 35 pfennigs
So it goes for gravy too: with Knorr, you taste nature!
