It shows a glimpse of one of the many mansions in Belém’s historic centre lost to neglect and poor urban planning, a sad reality in almost every Brazilian state capital.
At least old ads like this one remain, letting us recover an era that is hard to bring back: the Belém of the Belle Époque.
