More than 125 years of history. Founded in Germany in 1891, Dr. Oetker became internationally famous for its baking powder in sachets.
A young pharmacist, Dr. August Oetker, found the right formula after many attempts and created the Oetker baking powder still sold today.
In the early 20th century the company invested in advertising, published recipe books and printed recipes on the back of its packets for the housewives of the day.
Today Dr. Oetker is present in more than 30 countries and run by the fourth generation of the family.
