Vintage ad for Coca-Cola, 1978

Coca-Cola ran this ad in the German Freizeit Magazin in May 1978.

Its German slogan at the time was “Coke macht mehr draus” (Coke makes more of it).

The youth magazine had none other than Elvis Presley, the king of rock, on its cover.

German fans have a special bond with Elvis, who did his military service there in 1958–60, living in Bad Nauheim, Hesse.
