Coca-Cola | 1943

The idea was a syrup for digestive complaints, and it became perhaps the most famous drink in the world. In May 1886, in Atlanta, pharmacist John S. Pemberton created the Coca-Cola formula.
The Coca-Cola Company was founded in 1892, and the brand went on to become a global reference in advertising. It reached Brazil in the early 1940s.
At the foot of this Brazilian ad, a map of the Americas and the line “United today, united always” recall the Second World War and the closer ties between the United States and Brazil.
It ran in 1943 in Seleções, the Brazilian edition of Reader’s Digest.
