Another childhood classic for many of today’s parents and grandparents. Biotônico Fontoura, a tonic created by pharmacist Cândido Fontoura, appeared with this ad in the Brazilian magazine Eu Sei Tudo in 1928.

The ad is a document of its time: promises of health and vigour that would not be accepted in medicine advertising today.
