Heno de Pravia | 1922

Heno de Pravia soap was invented by Salvador Echeandía Gal, co-founder of the Spanish perfume house Gal.
Its name has a story. In 1903, travelling through Asturias in northern Spain, Salvador Gal passed through a village called Pravia and smelled freshly cut hay, a countryside scent so intense that he decided to capture it in a product. After years of work, in 1905 he launched “Heno de Pravia” (Pravia hay) soap, named after the village.
More than 115 years later, Heno de Pravia soap is still on sale, with a whole range of products bearing its name.
This ad ran in the Spanish magazine Blanco y Negro in 1922.
