Antarctica | 1949

Antarctica’s Malzbier, a sweet dark malt beer, in a 1949 newspaper ad.
Antarctica was born in São Paulo at the end of the 19th century, first as an ice and food factory, and soon moved into beer. The two penguins on the label became the brand’s symbol.
In 1999 Antarctica and Brahma merged to form AmBev, now part of one of the world’s largest brewers.
This piece was sent to the museum by Henrry Milleo and Gerson Mayer.
